We've been doing this since 1986. Same family. Same Newtown address. Same commitment to showing up at 2 a.m. when everything goes wrong. What's new is how we're telling that story. Today, New England Restoration officially relaunches with a refreshed brand, a new website, and a sharper message: Better Care. Not just better service — better care. For your home, your family, and your peace of mind. Four decades of Emergency Care has taught us one thing above all else: the work isn't done until you feel like everything is going to be okay. That's what we're here for. That's what we've always been here for. Welcome to the next 40 years.
Founded in 1986 by Chad Goodhue, New England Restoration marks its 40th year serving Connecticut homeowners and businesses. What started as a one-truck operation in Newtown has grown into a full-service restoration company with certifications in water, fire, mold, asbestos, lead, and radon — and a team of 13 dedicated professionals. Thank you to every client, partner, and community member who has trusted us over four decades.
Our team has completed recertification in IICRC Applied Structural Drying — one of the most rigorous technical credentials in the water damage restoration field. This recertification ensures our technicians are trained on the latest drying science, equipment calibration, and documentation standards.
NER is now actively serving northern Litchfield County towns including Torrington, Winsted, Norfolk, Colebrook, and Goshen. Our 24/7 emergency response now covers the full four-county region — Fairfield, Litchfield, Hartford, and New Haven.
